Because Startup Mail sells the email part, not a bundle of calendars, documents, meetings, chat, storage, and device management. Pay $12 yearly for every email feature and the included starting capacity.

Does this replace Google Workspace or Microsoft 365?

It replaces the email part. Startup Mail does not bundle calendars, documents, meetings, chat, or device management.

Can I keep using Gmail or Outlook?

Yes. Verify your existing inbox, forward incoming mail there, and reply using a secure relay.

Can I add more addresses, domains, and teammates?

Yes. Add a $5 monthly capacity block whenever you need more room. Every block adds 50 inboxes, 5 domains, 5 organization seats, 5 GB of storage, and 5,000 monthly email events.

Is this traditional IMAP or SMTP hosting?

No. Startup Mail has its own web inbox and HTTP API. Gmail and Outlook support uses forwarding plus a secure reply relay; folders, labels, and read state do not synchronize.

Can my team and agents use the same inbox?

Yes. People, API keys, webhooks, and MCP connections use the same explicit mailbox permissions.

Can I send newsletters or campaigns?

No. Startup Mail is for requested person-to-person and transactional email. Newsletters, promotional campaigns, cold outreach, purchased lists, and scraped contacts are not allowed.
